NWCC
club was formed in 1995 with the first meeting in the December. After
being in a one make car club for many years I found it to be very
blinkered, they could only seem to see one type of car! As I like many
different types of vehicles I decided to form a multi make multi
vehicle club (Cars, Motorbikes, Wagons, even Caravans). I
put adverts in classic car magazines and put flyers through the doors
of local classic vehicle owners; from the start we have had an average
of 30 members at our meetings which include quizzes, talks, feely bag
competitions (sounds worse than it is ha ha ) we have runs out, social
evenings and there is always someone who will give advice or a lift
with something, If
your vehicle is standard or modified, concourse or not you’ll be made
welcome (if you haven’t got a vehicle but share a passion for old
vehicles that’s fine) in our friendly and relaxed club for like minded
members. For
the last few years we have run our own summer Show near Fiddlers Ferry
Yacht Haven and Ferry Tavern on the River Mersey at Penketh near
Warrington which attracts Approx. 100 vehicles of all shapes and sizes. We
meet at the Penketh and Sankey Sports and social club Warrington Road
in Penketh at 8.00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month. Founder Member Paul Gannicliffe |
