Ron Frackelton
A35
When Ron bought his Austin, it had been off the road for twenty years and was in need of some TLC. He has owed the car for over ten years now and has carried out a complete restoration to the car.
The engine was fully rebuilt, including new piston rings and crank shells. At this time the cylinder head was converted for unleaded petrol. The front wings were found to be badly corroded so new repair panels were welded in. As a matter of safety, the brakes were fully overhauled before the went off to its first MOT, which it passed.
Ron’s first run after the restoration was to Weymouth and the car never missed a beat.
